For me, one of the big things is to realize (remember?) that so much of what we get tricked into thinking is important is just a social construct. Meditating helps us untangle or detach from the social web of false obligations. There are only a few things to feel obligated to: health, beauty, knowledge/wisdom, and love. So, by that logic, if we have loved ones, enjoy the outdoors, art, and learning new things, then we can stop seeking more and stop suffering.
